These big motors are designed for the very popular 50 to 80cc Gas size models. They are intended as a high power, direct replacement for your 17 to 31 lb sport & scale model and Pattern & 3-D planes up to 5 KW of power.

The A80-8 is an excellent power source for 3-D planes up to 20Lbs or models requiring up to 5000W of power. This 20 pole, Outrunner design creates amazing torque, therefore larger direct drive props can be used without the need for a gearbox. This motor features Oversize bearings, Curved Neo-magnets, and a High Efficiency stator design. Additionally, you will find a Special Large Concentric bearing located in the rotor to support the rotating mass during extreme 3D-maneuvers.

The 4-bolt prop adapter is exactly the same as those used on gas-engine models of the same size, so many props will fit this motor without any changes.
